Donna has extensive Search and Rescue experience specializing in Human Remains Detection (HRD) detection work since 1989. She has also certified dogs in other search and rescue disciplines, including Live find wilderness air- scent search, water search, and disaster recovery with New Jersey Task Force 1 (NJTF1).

Donna and her canine partners, Zeke and Abe, are members of the NJ Rescue & Recovery K9 Unit. Both dogs are certified in HRD. Donna serves as a K9 Handler and Evaluator for both NJ Rescue & Recovery K9 Unit and the State of NJ.

Donna was first introduced to Nose Work while serving as an NACSW judge. Her enthusiasm for the sport led her to become a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) and Certifying Official.

Donna is a co-owner of Sirius K-9 Solutions, which began by training dogs to detect environmentally harmful insects.  Today, the business promotes K9 Nose Work through hosting trials and workshops and seminars and by offering group classes and private instruction.
