Aleks has been playing in the sport of nose work since 2016 when her rescue Samantha struggled with anxiety in agility and needed something more her pace. It didn't take long for the rest of the pups in the house to start playing! 

Aleks started teaching in the Phoenix, AZ, area in 2017 with her business Release Canine. She currently teaches full time in person and online, and her students compete in a variety of venues and have achieved excellence at all levels of competition. Aleks is an avid competitor, NACSW host, NACSW Certifying Official, frequent Volunteer Coordinator, as well as an active judge for other venues (2021-current). 

When she isn't doing sniffy stuff, Aleks is a certified canine massage practitioner and certified professional canine fitness trainer. Aleks lives in Arizona with her husband and pups, escaping the heat when she can during the summer!
